Among the giant jacks

I rest and gazed upon the skies then

many years ago

the sun could only play hide and seek

he felt defeated then

as the giant jacks reached the skies then

now I hide in the AC

gaze upon corners of walls

and plastic trees

caught among the concrete

as the sun scorches the earth

frantically outside

my imagination grows thin

the giant jacks will I ever see them again?

  1. Really nicely written… Of course you can meet them again… simply go out and visit them… They are (hopefully) still overthere… The only sad problem is that it will propably not make such big impact anymore… As a child we experience things much different… Seeing things for the first time is special… magical… with the years wisdom comes but the magic of a childs perception fades away… Ah now I stop… You are the poet overhere not me 🙂

    1. They were very very old trees…even back then…I returned to see them after I left the place…they were no more…now they live only in my memories.
